Every week someone new is hosting a “workshop” or “webinar,” and when you attend, you quickly realize the entire thing is just a long sales pitch. Now don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with selling your programs or services. We’re all running businesses. But in my opinion, if someone takes the time to attend a workshop, they should walk away with something real.
Strategy.
Insight.
Direction.
Something.
Over the years, I’ve hosted several free trainings because I wanted people to actually learn something about the courier industry before deciding if they wanted to work with me further. Because a real workshop should teach first and sell second. That perspective comes directly from my own experience both hosting workshops and sitting in the audience myself.
